I am a proud graduate of the public schools of New York City. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a law degree from Boston University. My career as an attorney has focused on labor and employment law, representing employers, unions, and individuals.
In 1990, my wife Suzanne and I chose to move from Manhattan to Croton with our two sons, who were ages 4 and 9 months. We were drawn to Croton by the beauty of the Hudson River and the Croton Reservoir, the friendly and vibrant community, and the charms of a small village where our children would be able to walk to school, to the library, and to town. Alex and Greg attended Croton schools from kindergarten through high school and have gone on to successful careers in public service and philanthropy.
I was first elected to the Croton-Harmon school board when our children were in PVC and CET. Their experiences as students in our district’s schools and thereafter, along with the relationships I have developed with administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, Board member colleagues, and educators and school board members from other districts, have provided me with deep appreciation of the priorities and needs of students, staff, and parents.
I have found it personally rewarding to meet and work with students in all of Croton’s schools, and to work with my Board colleagues and district administrators to ensure educational success for all.
